What will be a great comeback?
I guess my fascination on bipolarism will be the theme of the next entries. So much for a sweet November, eh?
And now, my October hiatus is over. I am welcoming November with open arms. Though it started a little weird, I know for sure that this month will be a life-changer.

That is the question I have in mind now that it is the last day of September. Am I ready for a huge make-over for October?
That is the issue tackled in this video of a Sunday showbiz talk show regarding Lady Gaga's concert in the Philippines.
On Toni Gonzaga's argument, I understand where she's coming from but I disagree that a mere song can change the mindset of someone that hears it. It will all depend on the person if he/she would allow simple music to affect his/her lifestyle and way of thinking. I strongly believe that we listen to music purely for fun, entertainment purposes, self expression, inspiration, emotional release, and just to pass the time. We choose the songs because of its catchy tune, the artist, and the lyrics. In this time of music downloads and gadgets, everyone is exposed to songs from all over the world. About the issue with Lady Gaga, she may look and act weird but that does not mean she's Satanic or evil. Her lyrics may contain uncommon words and phrases but it does not summon the Devil. People are becoming judgmental, shallow, and overacting. They focused too much on Lady Gaga and her music instead of the more pressing issues in our country. They even conducted a prayer vigil! As if it would prevent the artist from spreading her music. Plus, Gaga and her songs have been in the music industry for years and even topped the charts. Her popularity is unstoppable. Ordinary people like me who regularly listens to songs and are exposed to Lady Gaga's music, or from other artists for that matter, are just having fun bobbing heads or singing to the beat. There's nothing weird or hypnotic that happens after listening. There might be some lyrics that we could relate to or be considered quotable, but nothing changes in terms of personality or attitude on the part of the listener. There is a huge possibility of idolizing an artist or celebrity and creating a fan base, but that does not necessarily mean that we have to be like them and sacrifice our own identity. A song cannot change a person into someone he/she is not. The understanding of the meaning of the lyrics is based on how the listener perceives it. This irritating summer weather makes us miss the rain even more. There are a few drizzles and thunderstorms lately, but they don't last long. It even adds to the heat of the surroundings. What we need is the rainy season to start. Now.
DRAMA... ACTING..
Don't just stand there like a spectator waiting for something grand to happen. Don't just be an onlooker that doesn't seem to care. Don't be such an insensitive person that won't give a damn on what is happening around you. DO SOMETHING HELPFUL FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!!! What if you were in the situation of the other one who is still struggling to be alive? Would you die peacefully knowing that nobody cared? Nobody wanted to save you? Everybody just stood there and stared while you breathe your final air? It's so awful that nobody -- totally no one -- even bothered to call for help or simply panic just to catch attention. Everybody and everything seemed normal like nothing serious happened. If people acted and reacted quickly, lives could have been saved. I don't know if nobody was brave enough to do something heroic. Not even the person behind the camera phone did something of help. They just talked about what happened, pointing at who is who between the bodies on the floor. Were they all afraid? Scared that they might get themselves killed? Were they all busy shopping in that popular mall? Can they not take the bodies to the hospital first before doing investigations and chitchats? Well, what's done is done. I just believe that none of the two teenagers would have died if they were immediately sent to the hospital. (Click here to watch the video of the SM Pampanga shooting incident) Earlier today, I have finally displayed the favicon that was pending for more than a year. Thanks to my friend Shai who reminded me of putting it up. So what the hell is a favicon anyway? It is an icon associated with a website. A shortcut for favorites icon. You can see the favicon of a website beside their URL in the address bar above. This blurred and zoomed-in image on the upper left is my favicon. Why did it took me a year to put it up? My blog publishing site requires an amount for users to be able to upload a favicon. I don't want to pay for that so I ignored it and went on anyway. A couple of days ago, a friend mentioned about having one and I remembered mine. And voila! My favicon, as you can see, is just a simple 16x16 icon. But there is a deeper meaning for what I created. It's not just a tiny image. For me, a favicon should be an identity of the website it represents. To start off with my explanation, the square image is for equality and a sense of perfection. The red color on top means "over hell" (we associate red with hell) and the blue below is for "under heaven" (we associate heaven with blue) -- which is the title of my website. The purple mix in the middle is where we belong -- in between. The diagonal design is for aesthetic purposes. The letter M, of course, is for my web address -- macaronisupreme. The circle means the never-ending life we have on earth. It also represents the never-ending ideas that this website provide. The white color simply means purity and clarity. It gives a sense of peace in general. It also represents the color of the font that I am using in every blog entry. So, my favicon isn't just a tiny image on your browser. Whenever you visit my website, it should remind you of how deep it really is -- how deep I really am.
The second part of the movie from the last Harry Potter book is now showing. We are all aware that it marks the end of a great era. There will be nothing more to look forward to.
As a huge fan of the author (Joanne Kathleen Rowling), the 7 books, and the 8 movies, I am one of those who are emotionally affected of this last hurrah. If there is one person who I want to thank for introducing magic into my life, it would be my father. He gave me my ticket to the wizarding world -- The Chamber of Secrets book! (I had The Chamber of Secrets first before The Sorcerer’s Stone). I started reading the books since I was in elementary. The story and the pacing got me hooked right from the start. The characters were all amazing. I became an instant fan. Years passed by and looked forward for the next books. The movies started to come out when I was already in high school. My addiction was getting extreme. During the time when we had a project in English about the biography of authors, I was lucky enough to be able to handpick J.K. Rowling. I enjoyed learning things about her and how she was able to give life to the entire “Harry Potter” concept. I presented it in class complete with wizard costume, makeshift wand, and an original Harry Potter glasses from the official merchandise. The anticipation for the books and movies continued in college. It was during The Order of the Phoenix screening when my college friends (who were also Harry Potter fanatics) and I imagined what it would be like if the other movies come out after graduation. One said we would be taking our kids with us in the cinemas. The other said we would be professionals by then. Years passed and more movies were shown. But here we are, all emotional about this last movie. Our imagination in college failed us because we are still struggling in life up to now. Kidding aside, I am really sad about this. Looking back at the memories from being a simple “childhood bookworm” addiction to feeling amazed at the physical changes of the cast of the movies through the years, I am grieving so much about the end of something special that has been a huge part of my life. To end this tribute, below is something that has been circulating in blogs. It will certainly touch the hearts of all Harry Potter followers. Tears will fall, smiles will form. This is it. IT ALL ENDS. I want to share my current inspiration. I feel so energized to go back to doing what i love. It makes me realize how lost I am in my direction. And I promise in July, I will be taking steps to correct my path.
